Create Departments
Steps
- Log in to the PigCloud cloud desktop console.
- In the left navigation pane, select User Configuration > Users/Departments.
- On the Departments tab of the Users/Departments page, click Create Department.
- In the Create Department dialog box, enter the department name, select the parent department, and click OK.
Note
- The root node of the department structure is Current Enterprise. When creating a department for the first time, you can only use it as the parent department.
- The created department will be displayed in the directory tree on the left side of the Departments tab.
Next Steps
- After creating a department, you can add end users to it. For details, see Manage End User Accounts.
- To rename a department, click Edit in the Actions column of the target department and enter the new name.
- To adjust the department hierarchy, click Edit in the Actions column of the target department and select a new parent department.
- To delete a department, ensure that the department and all its sub-departments have no end users, then click Delete in the Actions column of the target department. You can choose to forcibly delete sub-departments simultaneously.
