Change Cloud Desktop Compute Resource Specifications and Disk Expansion
Change Cloud Desktop Compute Resource Specifications
Cloud desktop specifications determine the performance standards of cloud desktops, primarily referring to compute resource configurations, including vCPUs and memory. You can upgrade or downgrade the specifications as needed. As your business grows and application data increases, you can expand the storage capacity of disks when disk space is insufficient.
Background Information
Due to price differences between configurations before and after changes, configuration changes may result in additional charges or refunds.
Different types of configuration changes have the following limitations:
Change Type | Limitations |
---|---|
Upgrade | You need to pay the price difference for the remaining time in the current billing cycle. If you have already performed a change operation within 24 hours, you can only change the configuration again after entering a new billing cycle. |
Downgrade | The refund amount is calculated as: Refund Amount = Remaining Time × (Price Difference Between Old and New Configurations / Total Time). The specific refund amount is displayed on the interface. Refunds from downgrades will be credited to the enterprise account balance. Note: Remaining time refers to the remaining valid purchase time before the downgrade, and the price difference refers to the difference between the old and new cloud desktop specifications. |
Disk Capacity Change Limitations
Disk capacity changes have the following limitations:
- Only expansion is supported; reduction is not supported. Once the new disk capacity takes effect after expansion, it cannot be reduced. Plan your storage space carefully.
- The maximum capacity for system disks is 500 GB, and the maximum capacity for data disks is 500 GB.
- 24 hours
Prerequisites
